Goodbye!

We got certificates and said Goodbye! to our teachers and marvelous Exeter. And see you soon!

Torquay

Sunday, 27 August 2006. No classes today! A trip to Torquay. Socrates Comenius programme gave the opportunity to the Hungarian, Slovenian, Italian and Polish teachers of English to meet together and talk, talk, talk....

Torquay

Spain? Italy? Greece? No. South-West England!

At home

One, two, three ... I loved them all!

At home

I love horse riding!

At home

Helen and her 'little one'.

At home

Angela and Ian Roberts were a woderful host family. Ian's meals were delicious and evening chats with Angela were very helpful. You can't imagine a truly English house without any pets. My favourite pet was Helen's horse.

My home is my Castle

It's time to go home. Mój dom jest moim zamkiem, mówią Anglicy. Pora wracać do domu.

Tintagel

Merlin's cave. Merlin was Arthur's magician. W jaskini Merlina czułem się jak w domu.

Tintagel

'There was seen in the churchyard a great stone like unto a marble stone and in the midst thereof was like an anvil of steel and therein stuck a fair sword naked by the point, and letters there were written in gold about the sword that saiden thus: "Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil is rightwise born the King of England."' Morte d'Arthur, Malory

Tintagel

Arthur was a great Celtic leader in the 6th century. He was born in Tintagel in North Cornwal.

Moors

What a beautiful view. I can see nobody for miles but teachers of English are everywhere.

Moors

W Polsce też mamy wrzosowiska, ale takich wielkich nie wiedziałem. Już 3 500 lat temu na wrzosowiskach Dartmoors żyły dziko kucyki i bardzo smaczne owce. Sprawdziłem w słowniku, że Heather is a low, spreading plant with small purple, pink, or white flowers. Heather grows wild in Europe on high land with poor soil. Ponies eat flowers and heather if they don't have enough grass.

Moors

Are there any nice caves here?

Moors

Dartmoors was a royal hunting ground. It was called the Forest of Dartmoor in medieval times. The word 'forest' meant that the king had the right to hunt deer. Farmers used the Forest to graze their animals in the summer.

Moors

"The English moors are hills on which very little grows. There are very few houses on the moors and very few people live there. The winter on the moors, with its cold winds and rain, is very hard. But in summer they are very beautiful." Let's Learn English

Viz

"I am thirsty!"

"Let's get some drink!"

How is "water" in Hungarian?

Look up!

Julia & Sárkány

When I was in England I met Julia, the Hungarian teacher. We often went sightseeing together. She taught me some Hungarian words.
I am Sárkány!

In the Park

You can't forget such a wonderful view!

In the Park

English gardens are fantastic!

Bath

Bath is a really interesting town to see.

Bath

Let's have a bath! The water is very hot +46C. It's the natural hot spring.

What a bath!

Aquae Sulis
The Romans bulit such a big bath. Just for a nice little dragon.

e-Twinning

Today we are taking part in e-Twinning programme.

The Mint

My first task was to find the Mint, so I went along narrow Mary Arches St. I learnt that the Romans lived here 2000 years ago. I tried to dig here and there but I didn't find any Roman or Saxon or Norman coin.

On the Bank

The view out of the IPC window. I always remembered to say "Hello!" to swans swimming in the Exe river. Or flying high in the sky.
